This notice explains how Expert-Connects uses professional contact information to research and contact potential business customers about its own services.

What information we use and where it comes from

We use your name, business email address, company, professional role and, where available, public professional profile and company-page details. We also keep relevant business correspondence, our contact history, delivery failures and marketing objections. We record information about your company's services to assess whether our offer may be relevant to your work.

Our sources include Apollo and public company websites, team pages and professional profiles. We use MillionVerifier to check business email addresses. Information published online remains personal information when it identifies you. You can ask us which sources and information we hold for your record.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use this information to identify relevant business buyers, introduce Expert-Connects' research and outreach services, assess and respond to enquiries, and manage a potential business relationship. Our lawful basis for this prospecting is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): developing our business by introducing relevant services to people whose professional role is connected with buying them. We assess relevance and limit our use to what is proportionate for that purpose.

We also keep the minimum information needed to honour marketing objections. We rely on our legitimate interests in respecting your choices and preventing further unwanted contact for that purpose. Your information is not treated as consent to marketing merely because it is public or supplied by a data provider.

Your right to stop marketing

You can object to direct marketing, including related profiling, at any time. Reply 'stop' to an email from us or contact renefdavidsen@expert-connects.com. We will stop using your information for direct marketing. We keep a minimal suppression record so you are not added again.

Who handles the information

Expert-Connects uses Apollo for business-contact research, MillionVerifier for email verification, Instantly for campaign delivery, Google Workspace for email and cloud documents, and ChatGPT Plus for assisted research. Professional-contact matching may also involve SendPilot. Providers may act as processors for some activities and as independent controllers for their own purposes under their terms and privacy policies. The information shared depends on the provider's role and what is needed for the task. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Where information is processed

We operate from Norway. Information may be processed in the EU/EEA, the United States and other countries where our providers or their subprocessors operate. The processing locations and transfer arrangements depend on the service and the provider's role.

How long we keep it

We keep unanswered prospecting records for up to 12 months after obtaining them, and remove them earlier if they are inaccurate or no longer relevant. Sending an automated email does not restart that period. If you engage in a business conversation, we keep the relevant prospecting correspondence while the conversation is active and for up to 12 months after the last meaningful interaction. Records needed for a subsequent contract or a legal claim are assessed separately for that purpose.

If you object to marketing, we keep only the details needed to prevent further marketing, such as your business email address and the date and scope of your objection. We retain that suppression record for as long as necessary to honour the objection and review its necessity annually.

Your other rights and complaints

You can ask to see your personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion or restriction, and ask us to explain our use of it. The rights that apply depend on the circumstances. The right to data portability does not apply to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact René using the details above to exercise your rights. You do not have to agree to marketing to make a request or decline our services.

You may also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

Selection and automation

We use company and professional-role information, software checks and human review to select relevant business contacts. We record sends, replies, delivery failures and objections. This campaign does not use email-open or link-click tracking. We do not use this campaign to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
